kind hearted woman blues

Every day, think as you wake up, today I am fortunate to be alive, I have a precious human life, I am not going to waste it. I am going to use all my energies to develop myself, to expand my heart out to others; to achieve enlightenment for the benefit of all beings. I am going to have kind thoughts towards others, I am not going to get angry or think badly about others. I am going to benefit others as much as I can.

Tenzin Gyatso, 14th Dalai Lama (b. 6 july 1935)

just joining the stream of energy going up offering the sweetest wishes for a happy and healthy birthday to his holiness the dalai lama - many thanks for the lessons and the reminders on the art of a loving, happy and compassionate life!   i'm working on it.....i promise!

My religion is very simple. My religion is kindness.

I like Gary's comment very much...he's right on.... and h.h.d.l. also nailed it right down for me....Thanks for the wonderful link...lots of visual treats. Hope you're not getting all this heat we've been experiencing in the Midwest...supposed to be 100 degrees again today. This is going to sound pretty 1980's...but...Stay Cool! and have a great weekend.

Kindness - for sure it is the bonding agent of friendship.

I would think, though, that the Dalai Lama at least could afford to waste a life or two.
