tell me a story

The universe is made of stories, not atoms.

Muriel Rukeyser (1913-1980) poet & activist

great timing that we hosted a gathering at casa mouse on saturday - with so many kids in attendance, i had the perfect excuse to pull out the two books by james warhola that i mentioned earlier that day on the mouse. the stories were a perfect end to a perfect day! if any of the kids didn't know about andy warhol before the party, they did when they left!

(much thanks to alix who saw my camera unattended and snapped the pic!)

the indomitable iggy pop singing tell me a story (1979). iggy's given name isn't ignatius as one might think but rather james - he adopted iggy as an homage to the first band he played in as a high school student in ann arbor, michigan - the iguanas. oh and by the way iggy's last name isn't really pop either!

Thanks so much for the book suggestion. Love this one...heading over to the library this afternoon. I was in desperate need of a book for my babysitting gig tomorrow. We still listen to some of your music suggestions from way back. Keep 'em coming! Great photo of you and the kids...and I even think I spotted ms.t in the bunch. Looks like a lovely evening.
