may the fourth be with you!

Yes. A Jedi's strength flows from the Force. But beware the dark side. Anger, fear, aggression. The dark side of the Force are they. Easily they flow, quick to join you in a fight. If once you start down the dark path, forever will it dominate your destiny. Consume you it will, as it did Obi-Wan's apprentice.
Yoda to Luke - episode V:the empire strikes back

so did you know that according to wookieepedia, the portal of all things wookiee and other star war cultural phenomena - today is star wars day - may the fourth be with you!

according to the entry, typical festivities include inviting fellow star war aficionados over for a party where the group watches the series in order - of course since it is a party eating, drinking and playing with star wars toys is also the order of the day.

here at casa mouse, unfortunately we only have vhs copies of the first three star wars films (which in terms of the series are actually episodes IV, V, and VI) alas, we no longer have an operational vcr, so we're out of luck. since I didn't know that today was star wars day until this morning when I read my writer's almanac entry, I really didn't do any planning in terms of inviting fellow star war lovers over - oh well, next year we'll plan ahead!

more yoda wisdom, clips from all the star war films. much thanks to christopher matar for putting together this film collage!

OK, I see what you mean now by Wall Wednesday. Interesting idea if you have a lot of walls -- I should try window Wednesday, because I sure have a lot of photos of windows.

This cracked me up! And May the fourth be with YOU!

Somehow I never got into the whole Star Wars thing...but love the characters.
Enjoyed the wall. xo

I keep getting Star Wars mixed up with Star Trek - but, who knows, they might have merged into one by now.

I've got them on DVD, but not BlueRay, though the player plays both and I can't tell the difference in quality. And I have a whole LARGE foot locker full of Star Wars stuff from the early 80s, including a Millenium Falcon that survived the explosion of a cappucino maker when both were sitting on the kitchen counter of my house in Maryland. Why it didn't just jump to hyperspeed I have no idea. . .

I have a working VCR and the first three on tape. :)

Um, I also use Kenner action figures as decor on my bookshelves.

TMI?
