n is for nonsense

I like nonsense, it wakes up the brain cells. Fantasy is a necessary ingredient in living.

Theodor Seuss Geisel, aka Dr. Seuss (1904-1991) writer and cartoonist

nothing like a sign to awaken a flight of nonsensical fantasy

but, is it okay to pepper the street?

looking for dirty and noisy? best just walk on by

arlo's motorcycle song is pure delightful nonsense! arlo comes by vehicular nonsense naturally -- remember woody's car song

I love signs like these. . . and it reminds me I have a couple of wall pigs to hang, pigs with wings, a sculpture called "When Pigs Fly."

Pigs with wings are of course referenced in "The Walrus and the Carpenter", probably the only competition "The Owl and the Pussycat" has as the greayest nonsense poem of all time.

meri - ;)

art spark - good catch!!! i've had nonsense on the brain - @ monday night's merchant concert - one of the poems/songs she sang was penned by edward lear who of course wrote a book of nonsense. natalie's discussion of lear mentioned lewis carroll and you know how one things leads to another!!

Heh, heh! "Take a ride in my car, car..." Yeah, Arlo definitely inherited the nonsense gene.

I think we need an international Lewis Carroll Day, and one of the official ceremonies to be the recitation of "Jabberwocky".
