"That’s football. You’re told either that you’re hurt or that you’re injured. There is no middle ground. If you are hurt, you can play. If you are injured, you can’t, and the line is whether you can walk and if you can put on a helmet and pads."

- I mentioned to f and e that this week's theme was brown and I planned on posting a snap of a pint of guinness, both immediately chastised me and said guinness is black not brown. okay yes, it is often referred to as 'the black stuff' - officially, the beer is neither black nor brown but according to the official guinness website:
Look closely. GUINNESS® beer is not actually black but rather dark ruby red because of the way the ingredients are prepared. Some malted barley is roasted, in a similar way to coffee beans, which is what gives GUINNESS® its distinctive color.
well regardless of what we consider the color of the beer there is no mistake when sold in bottles, the bottles should be brown! casa mouse, summer, 2009 - barrels of coffee beans sahadi's market, brooklyn, march 2008

I felt compelled to post a snap of something capturing the name of the local football team name. - june 2010 although I was tempted to use the pic to the right instead. but then I remembered reading that baino stated she was planning on posting about poop for her brown theme thursday contribution. so I'll let her give everyone the scoop on poop! however, I will state that I did really enjoy the exhibit on poop that is currently on at the cleveland metroparks zoo. I learned all sorts of fascinating facts/trivia; the least of it being that I learned an adult elephant will poop my weight every 7 1/2 hours - no shit! I kid you not!
today's post is part of theme thursday - to see other blogger playing in the park today go here.

Cleveland Browns - very good!
With reference to your debate about the colour of Guinness, I had always thought of it as being black, but since you raise doubts in my mind I am going to have to get a pint of the stuff to check it out. Ah, Kimy, you drive me to drink.

A great collection of browns! And you know, you could have avoided the whole controversy regarding the color of Guinness by posting a pint of Newcastle Brown Ale instead; that, at least, is unquestionably brown!

I knew the photo of barrels of coffee couldn't be this year because I buy coffee beans in 25 pound bags and the prices have increased from what it was in 2008.
Mouse your eye for photos is amazing.
I'm always impressed that people don't get that they see things that fit their worldview.
