Ideas are like rabbits. You get a couple and learn how to handle them, and pretty soon you have a dozen.

we returned home sunday evening from a quick trip to metro dc. what originally was planned as a belated birthday celebration for my dad, instead turned into a family healing vigil at an area hospital. my father, who is quite frail got seriously dehydrated earlier last week.
I'm happy to report that by the time we left my dad was doing much better. each day brings news of continued improvement. it will be a while until my dad gets back to his baseline; we pray he will get back to his baseline. dehydration among the elderly can be very, very serious. we are so happy that dad is recovering. he's still in the hospital; prior to coming home he will have to spend some time in a nursing facility for physical and occupational therapy.
wall wednesday continues on the mouse. instead of pink floyd, I thought I'd post elizabeth mitchell's version of john the rabbit, a traditional american folksong. it goes so well with the roa mural. don't ask me why but I've had bunnies on the brain for the last several days.
since getting home ms t and I have been on an elizabeth mitchell binge. I just learned that in october elizabeth and friends will release sunny day, another smithsonian folkways cd - we are psyched!
