a is for animal

As anyone who has ever been around a cat for any length of time well knows, cats have enormous patience with the limitations of the human kind.
Cleveland Amory (b. 2 september 1917 -1998) writer & animal rights activist

it's back to school season which can only mean one thing for the mouse - checking out our a,b,c's! the mouse used the alphabet before as a monthly muse (november 2007 and september 2008) and it proved to be quite fun. let's see where the alphabet takes us this time around!

a is for animal and for amory. many may recognize the name cleveland amory as the author of the best selling book the cat who came for christmas and several subsequent books which also featured his cat polar bear. amory was a avid animal rights activist. in 1967 he founded the fund for animals and served as its (unpaid) president until his death in 1998. in 1979 amory established the black beauty ranch one of the largest and most respected animal sanctuaries in the country.

oh, fun. The alphabet does third grade.

love the song but given the way llamas express their... opinions, discussing Eastern art and dramas with them could be risky business. To whit:

cheers, kimy.

Heh, heh! A typical pose for a cat - high above everything, lord of all he surveys. I'll look forward to seeing other alphabet entries.

September is always the beginning of things, as every school-aged child knows. (Gorgeous window box.)

Did you disable comments to your health care post? I wanted to say Bravo! It really is difficult to understand why President Obama is being so reviled for trying to fix a system that is corrupt, unfair, bloated and broken.

cats--ya either love 'em or hate 'em...sadly my allergies keep them at arms length. Weirdly, my Tobydog doesn't even acknowledge them!
