May they be free from suffering.
May they find the joy that has never known suffering
May they be free from attachment and hatred.

Great song. I have a version that Linda Ronstadt sings with David Sanborn. Just thought I'd give a little shout out to Linda here (and every chance I get).
I love the June Tabor rendition and only just recently discovered her work. That song is one of the first pieces I learned in chorus in high school, and it never fails to move me.
Adorable squirrel shot, by the way. I hope Squirrel herself sees it!
gary - I love linda ronstadt...will have to post some linda songs soon. for some reason she always evokes summertime days! maybe its because I met my f in the summer (of 1976) and he was/is a terrific ronstadt fan!
cbb - I'm happy you have discovered june tabor. I've been a fan of hers for decades...and even had the good fortune of hearing her perform years back when she toured clubs in new england (specifically the iron horse a wonderful music venue in northampton mass) - I haven't heard of her touring in north america recently, although I haven't checked her website in a long time.
What a beautiful, simple post!
Here's to that cute-as-hell squirrel and the Linda Ronstadt craze brewing here! HA!
