I'll put a spell on you

The simplification of life is one of the steps to inner peace. A persistent simplification will create an inner and outer well-being that places harmony in one's life.
peace pilgrim (b. 18 july 1908, d. 1981) born mildred lisette norman, peace activist

also born on this day screamin' jay hawkings. screaming jay was born in cleveland in 1929 (d. 2000). he originally set out to be an opera singer, but as it is said 'shit happens' instead of opera he started singing the blues (was this because he couldn't get into the opera? hum?). his most acclaimed hit was the 1956 classic 'I'll put a spell on you' which was selected by the rock and roll hall of fame as one of the 500 songs which shaped rock n' roll. screaming jay was a very interesting and eccentric fellow, along with being fascinated with voodoo and is often considered the father of 'shock rock' - he toured with nick cave and the also clash. it is said that he left behind 75 children! eh gads! cock-a-doodle doo!

I have one of his later albums. Have you heard "same damn thing?"

It's very good.

Everything written about him was bigger than life. I think maybe he wanted it that way.
