zquilts - "Better not quilt my day job!" - was that a slip of the pen or playing with language??
Mouse - I remember Szasz from my postgrad days. A very controversial figure (pretty anti-psychiatry for a psychiatrist), but a refreshing one. This quote from him puts it in a nutshell "If you talk to God, you are praying; If God talks to you, you have schizophrenia."
Great quote, Mouse! And, a wonderful photo accompanying that quote.
Kim and popcorn, popcorn and mouse ... either way, Ace is the Best and fun for all :)
Kim and I both do Seattle daily photo blogs, hers having run 3 or so years while I began mine in early January 2008. We have yet to meet, though live only 3 or so miles apart. So far, there has been no overlap at all in our blog postings.
I would suggest you consider doing a Cleveland photo blog ... if that's what you want to do. 2 or more bloggers from the same city the size of Cleveland or Seattle is no problem.
My 2¢ worth ... thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment. Let me know when you start your daily city photo blog.
Oh, that's one of the loveliest photos I've ever seen on your blog. It looks like my dream place! Wow. Sometimes a picture just does that to you, it feels like you're looking at home or something. I love green places and I'm sure somebody I'll live in one. It would look like this.
Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it is the only thing that ever has. Margaret Mead (1901-1978)

If I were a bluebird
I'd build a fine nest
Which would be just the best
and in which I would rest.
Better not quilt my day job !
Good Capture!
ahhh you've captured a serene moment in the country. Every chore is done, and we can just "set a spell."

ernie - good eye on re marie's comment! my first read missed that...
think I like most about szasz's analysis is his critique of the propensity to medicalize and pathologize the human experience!
chuck - can always use some extra cents and sense....thanks! will keep you posted should I expand.
Dennis has entered a new phase! Serenity NOW! no more boredoms or turmoils!

That barn and fence make me want to "waste" time without worry in that field of grass.
Yes, this quote is perfect for me. I will strive to reach serenity.
