ice cream

My advice to you is not to inquire why or whither, but just enjoy your ice cream while it's on your plate - that's my philosophy.
Thornton Wilder (1897-1975), American playwright & novelist

if you find yourself in the cleveland area undoubtedly the best ice cream around is cleveland's own mitchell's ice cream. it's local and lovingly made by good folks and only the finest of ingredients! you can find mitchell's ice cream of course at their shops in rocky river, westlake, solon and beachwood, at heinen's grocery stores, and at several fine area restaurants.

the mitchell brothers are committed to helping in the fight against breast cancer and have developed an exclusive flavor of pink ribbon peppermint chip ice cream. with the sale of each pint of pink ribbon peppermint chip, pete and mike donate fifty cents to the susan g. komen breast cancer foundation northeast ohio race for the cure® to help reduce the prevalence and effects of breast cancer in the united states. you can find this flavor everywhere mitchell's ice cream is available!

Dennis asks, do they make a wild Alaskan salmon ice cream? or sorbet at least?

squirrel - I don't know if they export mitchell's ice cream outside the area. so just means you'll have to come to cleveland!

lee - for a week I stayed at a very wonderful holiday house with my sister and her family located on the outskirts of the village of roussillon - a very short walk into the village, but it wasn't in the town center. my sister arranged the rental - the owner I believe was a german woman - I fell in love with the area and one day would love to return....ah so many places, so little time (well, not time but do-re-mi!)

Looks delicious; I've been to Rousillon! but in 2004. There was school group who had turned very red because of the ochre.

dennis - salmon flavored cream cheese is my absolute favorite.... probably better than something cold like ice cream or sorbet! n'es-ce pas?

tut - isn't it the most glorious region!!! we didn't roll around in the ochre....although my nephew was tempted!

How funny that I was just over on Mission/Mission where Allan was talking about OUR Mitchell's Ice Cream. It's good, but I prefer Bombay Ice Creamery where you can get cardamon ice cream or (better yet) Pollyann where you can get taro, green tea, red bean (my absolute favorite) and about 2,000 other flavors.
