dark eyes

Oh, the gentlemen are talking and the midnight moon is on the riverside,
They're drinking up and walking and it is time for me to slide.
I live in another world where life and death are memorized,
Where the earth is strung with lovers' pearls and all I see are dark eyes.

verse 1 (of 4) ~ dark eyes by bob dylan, 1985
listen to bob singing dark eyes from his empire burlesque album

Beautiful shot. This is a child I would like to meet and spend time with.

Yesterday's photos were also incredible. It was a fine idea to spice up the presentation that way. Out of curiosity, where you able to get any interior shots (broken appliances, plumbing problems--things a renter should not have to deal with) ? Any portraits of the people? I ask because sometimes elderly people want me to take their photo when I am out with my camera. They are far more willing than any other age group.

Great post. Don't really have much more to say but perfect lyrics to the picture. Great shot too.

river - expect that would be me in ms t's eyes. thanks.

ched - we'll arrange a meet w/ ms t should you come back to cleveland after the tour of the campus!

re yesterday's pics. I took lots of photos of the folks a couple I'd classify as portraits - ruby loved having her picture taken. but am not inclined to post them as I didn't ask permission. if I see ruby soon I'll ask permission and maybe get more of her story.

but I might have some artful pictures of care being given that if a topic corresponds may emerge...

t&e - the profile is set to private, is this who I think it is? ten pin, if so thanks for dropping in! see you in cyberspace!!

dd - merci!

regarding Bob--I would choose "Stuck inside of Mobile with the Memphis Blues Again" why? because it was always my fave when I was a kid, and it's impossible to figure out--and who would want to even try? It's pure random images poetry storytelling.
or I would choose a tune from Modern Times-- The deal goes down one is very nice...
