a brighter dawn is breaking

Whether one believes in a religion or not, and whether one believes in rebirth or not, there isn't anyone who doesn't appreciate kindness and compassion.
Tenzin Gyatso, 14th Dalai Lama (born 1935)

happy and joyous easter wishes to ALL

this date in the times of the roman empire would be the fifth and final day of quinquatria, held in honor of minerva.

a long time ago a co-worker friend and I observed a gorgeous vase of white lilies at a photo shoot. He said "death flowers--they always remind me of funerals" and I replied "they seem beautifully hopeful to me."

he said "that is always the difference between us--how we view things!" I'm sure he felt he was the more learned / sophisticated of the two of us. (shrug--fine with me!)

Happy Easter! BTW - I LOVE that picture of you, your mom and brother at Easter. Too cute! And yes, she is beautiful.

Hope you enjoyed lots of choccies, Kimy!
I love that piece of stained glass - so beautiful. And curiously, in the last day or so I've been pondering the Dalai Lama's words on kindness and compassion having been thrown off balance by a remark someone recently made. I don't think we can ever underestimate the power of kindness and compassion.

The Dalai Lama's words are just perfect for me. Kindness and compassion work just fine in any language and with/without any ritual I can think of.
Lots of both on your day.

I hope u had a great Easter.

I find it ironic you had this post and I had my religious post and all too. I had no idea we thought so much alike at times, but we often do it seems.

Jesus was way cool in my book, regardless of how much formal organized religion has corrupted his message.
