mammas don't let your babies grow up to be cowboys

ever since watching 3:10 to yuma I seem to have cowboys on the brain - I've been longing for a hat like the one russell crowe wears in his role as ben wade (if anyone knows where I can snag a hat like this, please let me know!) .

my cowboy fixation is also being fueled by wishing I was with f & e on their current road trip. they frequently take a road trip to texas this time of year in order to go to the fort worth stock show & rodeo. they can't help themselves, they were both born in texas and they appear to be under the influence of some sort of natal homing phenomena....

and so the rest of you can share the joy, a little willie for your listening pleasure!

c - don't you think I look a bit like a young miss kitty in this picture?

l- who only knows! t informed me that the footage features bruce campbell. we then went and rand an imdb check and found that he stared in some weird series called 'the adventures of brisco county jr.' the blurb for the show is as follows:
Hired by local robber barons, Harvard Law Graduate Brisco County, Jr. searches for the members of the infamous John Bly gang, the same men who killed his father, a famous marshal and western legend. Accompanied by his one-time rival and fellow bounty hunter Lord Bowler, Brisco rides through the West trying to bring his father's killers to justice. Along the way, he encounters mysterious golden orbs with strange abilities and colorful characters who help or hinder his mission as he hunts down the Bly gang one by one.
