your smiling face

The surest sign of wisdom is a continued cheerfulness.
Michel de Montaigne, french philosopher (1533-1592)

I woke this morning before 5 a.m. my head instantly switched on making lists of all the things that need tending. falling back to sleep turned out to be hopeless, so after twenty minutes of morning meditation, I rolled out of bed - carpe diem!

'tis the season when there's always so much to do. I take comfort in knowing that what really needs to get done somehow does end up getting done and the rest of the stuff, well it will just have to wait for its time (it will get done when it gets done and not a second or minute sooner). today what needs to get done is: pay some bills; finish the twinkle, twinkle quilt to mail to colorado tomorrow- no if ands or buts- tomorrow's the day! pack up a box (or two) to take to the post office tomorrow with the quilt that will be done; create an illusion of orderliness on the first floor since we are entertaining friends this evening; make the food for said evening of entertainment; relax, smile and visualize continued cheerfulness -and world peace.

You'll do it, Kim! You have a knack for pulling it altogether and recognizing what matters and what doesn't. Enjoy the day!

Cute girl, and nice reminder to be cheerful (even amongst the maddening crowds). Hugs to you for what is important.
