back to the now

I just returned from a long weekend to metro dc... family, friends, art and scrabble! sunday was a red letter day in scrabble-ville - I made two 7-letter words in one game - sangria and protege - although I won that game, overall owl prevailed w/three games to two! but who is keeping track?

Sounds like a fun and festive time was had by all. Can I take it then that you too are something of a Scrabble fan? ;-)

Great slide show! Wow, I live in such a beautiful city.

So sorry we were unable to meet this time. Next time, definitely!

Lovely journey. Next time I'm in Cleveland we'll have to have an evening of Scrabble. Office of Thrift Supervision? Let's see, would that include Junk Thieves? I think that's the office where I got my license.

Welcome back! What a wonderful trip, it was a feast for the eyes. Love the architecture, love the views, shocked to see Canada's maybe not so finest Air Jazz...known for their poor service, but then I guess any flight that gets you home safe is a good flight.

Did you have a quilt on display? They were lovely.

washington is such a beautiful city - I love visiting but always have those "so many things, so little time" experiences.

av - scrabble fan - one would say that - I'm hopeless or incorrigible (although I am pretty flexible on interpreting rules and appreciate tha owl, my lifetime scrabble-playing bud is also)

reya & jt - you guys can count on the respective dates!

ca - ah, the smithsonian (renwick gallery) has yet to request one of the mouse's quilts to display. the pictures I posted are from their current exhibition on old quilts made from folks who were part of the westward expansion.

These pics in the slideshow are so natural and kind of funny too. Thanks for posting and it looks like you had a really great time over there.
