change, change, change

If we don't change our direction we're likely to end up where we are headed.
Chinese proverb

this morning I'm thinking of the recent passing of vernon bellecourt. vernon, whose objibwe name is WaBun-Inini means ' man of dawn,' wouldn't it be wonderful to see a new dawn in cleveland sports - where we honor native people and abandon the use of the cleveland indian's mascot and we win the world series! but first one more game to win against the red sox.

pictures: top -leaves reflections, somewhere; bottom - dawn in oberlin, ohio 2007

Both those shots are so evocative and in such different yet similar ways, Kim. Thought-provoking and beautiful.

Though our temperatures in northern California feel like autumn, we don't have the falling leaves. I don't miss the raking, but I do miss the colors.

thanks everyone!

av we were both in the same groove in terms of the difference/similar thing going with the two pics!

jude - I am very drawn to both reflections and shadows

I love the light in october...our colors are a bit strange (as in behind schedule) this year - still lots of green trees!

jt - darn if you were missing raking I'd have suggested a pit stop in cleveland on your way to barcelona!

Kimy, I actually just hired a staff member in Cleveland, so it's likely I'll be swinging through there now and then. If your book women of Cleveland would ever like a presentation on women in the developing world, I'm sure we'd be honored to speak!
