make it so

Peace is not the product of terror or fear.
Peace is not the silence of cemeteries.
Peace is not the silent revolt of violent repression.
Peace is the generous, tranquil contribution of all to the good of all.
Peace is dynamism. Peace is generosity.
It is right and it is duty.
Bishop Óscar Romero (1917-1980) Archbishop of San Salvador

Wonderful! I love the quote, I love the photo, and I got to say that the stake is one that I could plant in my garden...

I was thinking that there are certain things that show that no matter how far away we live we still: Garden and have many of the same flowers, eat the same foods, and I have just learned that we even read the same fables and stories...I didn't realize that in China little children are read Snow White, Little Red Riding Hood, Hansel and Gretal...go figure...and we all want peace.

this is a great quote.
I've learned such a lot about silence lately - and different kinds of silence - there can be nothing more painful and awful, but there can also be nothing more peaceful and precious.

tis a great quote.

ca -I have long admired these peace posts - I have a friend whose children gave her one to plant in her garden! wasn't that a wonderful gift perhaps you can drop some hints to your boys!

it amazes me how humans continue to engage in wars and conflicts since we all DO want the same things - to love, to have good health, to have a safe world for our children,to have meaningful work, to be happy - peaceful coexistence is the key to all, no?

lettuce - ah yes silence another complex condition - all in what we make of it at the moment - pain or paradise.
