OOH, I love playing scrabble although I never play. Go figure. I was looking at your board there and what is KA, OE, TI, OD, etc. Is that legal?

gary - oh yes all legit words and sanctioned by the official scrabble people! being familiar with the two letter list definitely gives one the edge! I've been in a long drought of scrabble play since we moved to cleveland from ct... in ct I had a couple scrabble buds - most of my play for the last 10 yrs has been relegated to when I've been on vacation visiting friends/family who have the bug or when they have been visiting me. if you're ever in cleveland - come on over and we'll play!
check out the following link http://www.trussel.com/scrabble/2words.htm
(don't know how to hyperlink in the comment section - sorry)

soeur souris - excellent news I agree completely - play helps but all the 'shit' in its place! I love backgammon but it's been ages since we've played - hope The Someone is a good pupil!

I'm like Gary - I love to play scrabble but I can't remember the last time I played.

It's a bit nerdish to admit to liking scrabble but, hey, who cares?

I like scrabble and somehow those 2 letter words don't seem quite right...But then again I have big troubles with acronyms...like where in the world is CT?

Then of course if you mix numbers into the whole ball of wax - algerbra I really go blank for numbers and letters just aren't meant to be together.

The whack to the side of the head also has given me troubles spelling and finding words is at times difficult to boot.

But I think these days I am disadvantaged by this disability for I see the benefit in scrabble expecially if you could get a good consenant on a triple word score.

Its good you have a new friend to have fun with Kimy!

Ooh, Scrabble, yeah! :-) Nothing like a game of scrabble next to the fire on a rainy day.

Scrabble.. definitely one of the finer things in life. Nothing like a winter night and a cup of hot chocolate! You lived in CT? I studies at Eastern in Willimantic many a year ago!!

how fun finding that I have lots of scrabble lovers in my cyberhood! what fun to think that if I should ever find myself in your part of the world (!!!) I'll have a scrabble buddy near by - of course I do travel with 'travel scrabble'

dd - nerd - we're quite the rage these days, haven't you heard? embrace it! ;)

ca - ah yes - I'm met a few folks who are suspicious of two-letter words but let me say they are great and knowing them allows the player to sometimes gracefully make a whole slew of words at one time - nothing more exciting in a game of scrabble than putting down a 5 letter word and making five words (well sometimes using all seven letters is...)

av- rain, snow, night, heat ....anytime can be scrabble-time for me!

mohamed - jeez who know we may have passed each other in connecticut! when did you live there - I lived in CT 1981-1997. I have a little write up and a picture from willimantic on my april 9th post....check it out if you haven't seen it!
